Shockwave Therapy now available Ocean Physio & Rehab.
Shockwave Therapy is a relatively new and highly effective treatment for soft tissue pain.
Shockwave Therapy is particularly useful for tendon, ligament, muscular, fascia and bursa pain, especially if the symptoms have persisted for longer than six weeks.
Including tennis/golfers elbow, Achilles tendon pain, plantar fasciitis and rotator cuff tendon pain, amongst other conditions.
It is recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
The machine at Ocean Physio is a high end Gymna Shockmaster 300, which has the added advantage of calculating the optimal treatment dose for each condition, as shown in the video below.

The most effective use is with a course of five or six sessions, but most patients notice a benefit within three sessions.
Ultrasound scans are also available for accurate diagnosis of soft tissue injuries prior to treatment if required.
