27 Apr Congratulations to Topsham Rugby – Devon Colts Champions 2018 – from all at Ocean Physio, proud sponsors since 2011.
It is with great pleasure as father, coach and sponsor, that we can announce Topsham Colts won the Devon Merit Cup 2018 in its 50th year, making them the 2018 County Champions.
Most of the squad have been at the club from the age of 6 and this season we had 5 boys come from that age group to play for the senior section as well , true “clubmanship”.
Ocean Physio & Rehab have been sponsoring the Topsham Rugby Club for 8 years and it has been a pleasure to watch it grow. We currently sponsor the Junior, Ladies and Senior sections, and of course the Coaches.
When I started coaching at the club in 2005, there were 2 year groups above us and approximately 45 boys registered. This season the Junior section alone have 350 players, and as in any business that’s staggering growth, which we are trying to ensure is sustainable. There would be hundreds of people to thank, but it must be said that it is a real team effort and that’s what makes it so enjoyable to be part of such great family values.
We see many of the same values associated with the club, as we have at Ocean Physio & Rehab. It’s been a fabulous journey, thankfully more ups that downs, a great success story to be associated with. Long may it continue!
